Hello KelliNaccari

Adagio has nothing in place to support or integrate specifically with ADP. If ADP creates a batch for it's Payroll transactions, then this is all that is required.

If there is a format in ADP that already creates a batch for importing into Accpac Plus GL, then this same batch format can be used with Adagio Ledger. Note that there are 2 different 'styles' of importing batches into GL; 'Header/Detail' and 'Detail only', which are separate selections in Adagio Ledger. If the first row of your import batch has an 'H', use the Header/Detail style. If the first row has an 'E', use the Detail only style.

The import batches option within Adagio Ledger gives you many options for importing batches from other sources.

FILE TYPES IMPORTED:
Excel (Version 2.1 - 5.0)
ASCII CSV (Delimited)
ASCII Fixed Length
Lotus 123 ( Version 1.0 - 2.x)
Lotus 123 ( Version 3.0 - 5.0)
dBase III & IV
FoxPro (all versions)
Clipper (all versions)
Symphony (Version 1.0,1.1)
Quattro Pro (Version 1.0 - 6.0)
PSV delimited file

The following fields should appear in your imported batches:
Record Type
Entry Number
Entry Date
Fiscal Period
Account Code
Department Code
Source Code
Reference
Transaction Date
Description
Amount

All the fields listed above must be represented in some way. If not in the import file itself, then you must define them as 'Default' fields, and give them a value. What happens in this case is that all transactions imported will be given this default value. You can do this easily with the Adagio Import Template functionality. You can use the default Import template, or edit this then save it as your own custom template to allow for any default fields and values.

The most successful file format is .csv (Comma separated values). This is because you do not have to allow for a 'fixed width' as you do with the .txt file format for example, but instead the .csv format uses the comma as a delimiter.

Hope this helps!
