Hi Laura,

Is this problem regarding Quik Link for Excel, or is it for Quik Reports?

If Quik Link, does your reading of records 'overwrite' existing lines on your spreadsheet? It's possible that the number of lines being read has changed, and therefore not all lines are being overwritten. I would suggest attempting to re-read your values to a blank sheet to make sure that your lines are correct.

Also try recreating the link, or perhaps even the spreadsheet in case something became corrupted with your existing spreadsheet. I can't say why this would be happening without additional information.

Problem is with Quik Link for Excel using a desktop shortcut to Quik Link. When I go to the program for Quik Link thru windows Start/Programs/Quik Link 6.2A/Quik Link 6.2A for Excel 7, I get an error message that says C:\MYDOCU~1\QUIKLINK.XLA could not be found.

I also can not find any .DNK files.

The QUIKLINK.XLA file belongs in the C:\softrak\quiklnk7 directory. It looks like the path defined for your shortcut is incorrect, as it wants to look in the 'My Documents' directory.

The paths for the Quik Link shortcut should be:

Target: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE" C:\SOFTRAK\QUIKLNK7\QUIKLINK.XLA
Start in: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office"

If your MS Office is installed in a location different than above, substitute the location on your system for both paths above.

DNK files are the files used by Quik Link to allow the Excel spreadsheet to read the correct Accpac Plus database. If you do not have a DNK file in the same directory as the Excel spreadsheet, the values from your Accpac data cannot be read. The solution is to Redefine the Links from the Quik Link menu, and save the spreadsheet using the File Save choice under the Quik Link menu. If you use Excel's Save under the File menu, the Accpac data links will be lost.

Regards,
