Hi jrandy,
There is no feature at this time in Adagio Time&Billing to export a bill specification to a text file, in order to edit with a word processor such as Word Perfect. This is not scheduled to be implemented any time soon.
We do ship a Windows-based specification printer with Adagio Time & Billing. If the purpose of exporting and editing the old TBR DOS bills in Word Perfect was to make them look 'pretty', then you can do this with our supplied spec designer.
To get most of the way there, open the Designer function in Adagio Time & Billing and from the File menu, go to the Convert DOS Specification as you found. In your data directory, look for your TBR DOS spec (that will have a file name of LW#xxxxx.DAT) and select it. When a DOS spec is converted, the original file will be left unchanged, and a new file will be created. You should see a layout of fields similar to your DOS spec. Under the File menu, pick Specification Options and give the spec a title. Save this new Adagio spec with a file name that starts with 'TB$' and has a file extension that matches your data.
From your Bill Batch, highlight the batch in the grid and click the Print button and the print specification screen will appear. Select the spec you just converted (the Title will appear in the Drop-down box) and Preview the bills. Your batch of bills will appear on the screen for you to peruse. This is how you print bills in Adagio Time & Billing.
You may have to edit the converted bill spec for things such as Fonts, minor positioning changes, dates, etc. You may also want to get your dealer involved if the required changes turn out to be more complicated than you expect.
Regards,
