Hi Jinny,

Are you trying to calculate the Actual cost for all items or Avg.Unit Value?

If you are calculating the Actual cost, you are on the right track. Calculate the sum of the Total Cost 1 to Total Cost 5.

If you are calculating the average cost per item, you will want to divide the sum of the 5 Total Cost fields by the sum of the 5 Quantity on Hand fields.

You don't have to use the 5 Quantity on Hand fields. There is another field on the GridView list called Quantity on Hand which is already the total of those five fields.

Also, if your costing method is Moving Average or Standard Costing, you need only worry about Quantity on Hand #1 and Total Cost #1.

Hi Steve Schwartz,

While there is indeed such a field to choose, you'll find that it is available in the Column Editor in Adagio, and displays "0" in GridView. The number it contains is calculated on the fly in the column editor and must be calculated as described here fo GridView.
