After doing a batch import into Adagio Ledger, I ran the Batch Listing report. Every thing was fine until I got to the Debits and Credits Totals. The first digit and comma was cut off from one column and the first digit, comma, and part of second digit was cut off of other column. The total should read 1,136,898,475.00. we are seeing 136,898,475.00

Is there a report I can edit to increase the size if these columns? I have edited the check layout before but do not know the report name for this report. I would guess that it is one of the GL$*.*. Any help would be grateful. Thanks.

Jeffrey,

It is certainly possible to create customized versions of the reports in Adagio.

It requires Crystal reports for Adagio and a knowledge of that program.

It might be worthwhile to contact a consultant in your area. You find a listing here

Yes we have Adagio report writer 6.2b. Once we create the custom report we would like the person who des the batch import to do the following:
1. Complete the import
2. Open edit | batches
3. Run listings to verify batch
4. Post to post a correct batch into the system
5. Run a posting report
6. And to do the rest on the GL persons duties.

In step 3 when user clicks listings how do we get this button to bring up the custom report?
Thanks.

Jeff:

Version 6.2 suggest that you own QuikReports for Windows. This is a mid-1990's version so it is not compatible with the report files in the current versions of Adagio.

You would need Crystal Reports for Adagio. This can be purchased through your local reseller.

However, before you spend the money, I'd suggest looking for why the report prints that way. It shouldn't. Do you have Large Fonts enabled on that computer? Go to Control Panel | Display and select the "Settings" tab. Click on the "Advanced" button. Look for the "DPI Setting". It should be "Normal Size (96 dpi)".

Screen Resolution is set to 1024x728 and font settings are 96 dpi. I aggree the report should display the numbers in the total field.

Yes that is the version of the report writer we received when we purchased Adagio. We have other version of crystal reports upto version 8.5 I have tried them out and was able to create a report. But we feel the system report should display the numbers correctly.

Hi Jeffrey,

Not too many Adagio users are posting $1Billion (!) into a single account. I'm sure that the person designing the report felt that dedicating the space necessary to display amounts of this magnitude would not normally be necessary. We'll try and get a fix for you.

OK, I see that if you want to print an amount over 1 billion dollars in an Adagio Ledger batch, the listing report does not print the billions digit because the fields for the debit/credit entry subtotals and the batch total are not quite wide enough. I can forward this on to development request making the field wider.

In the meantime, since you have Crystal Reports 8.5 for Adagio, you can make this minor correction yourself and have the built-in program display all the digits:

1) Using Windows Explorer, create a directory \ModRP under the place where Adagio Ledger is installed - \softrak\alwin.
2) Copy the report file ALBATCH_V1.rpt from the \softrak\alwin\StandardRP directory and paste it to the ModRP directory. You may need to remove the 'Read Only' file status.
There is a second version of the report ALBATCHD_V1.rpt if you print the account description with the batch listing.
3) Open this copied report with Crystal Reports and make the formatting changes. Perhaps it's making the field wider, or you may need to decrease the font size if there is no room to widen the fields.
4) Save the report with the same file name, but make sure to Save As a Crystal 7.0 report format.

When you choose to print a built-in report with Adagio 8.0, it will first look in the ModRP directory to see if it should use a customized version of the Standard report. If an RPT file exists there with the same file name, it will be used. Otherwise, the installed report in the StandardRP directory will be used.
