We have just purchased Gridview 8.0E (061017) and installed. The install went fine, the product is registered, and users (including SYS) can select a data path and log in fine. But that's it!! When we try to select a module, an error message "This function cannot be performed." pops up, and that's it. We are using GL, AR, IN, and AP modules. What are we doing wrong??

Oops .... after a bit of research, I think I've answered my own question ..... the help item under Error Messages says that I need a /a parameter in the command line ...... I think it's actually a /c parameter that seems to work.

Hi Kevin,

Requiring "/c" on the command line in order to create or change Views prevents people from "browsing" the accounting data just by clicking on GridView.exe - it's a security thing.

Glad you got it working!
