The 2 functions that were removed from Softrak Sales Analysis 6.5A, namely Select Sales Data Sequence and Remove Duplicate Records, occurred because they wer no longer necessary due to the structural change of the database (from sequential to indexed).
The only problem this poses is if duplicate records existed and were not cleaned up prior to installing the upgrade and converting the data. I assume this is what you're running into.
The solution depends on whether the 'duplicate' transactions still exist in OE or have been purged.
If the OE transactions have not been purged, you have 2 options:
A) restore the data and the old Sales Analysis and delete the duplicate records, then reinstall the upgrade and convert the data again, and 'Scan Data from other systems' for OE for the transactions since then, or
B) archive the date range that contains duplicate records, and 'Scan Data from other systems' for OE for the transactions in that range.
If the duplicate records no longer exist in OE (ie have been purged), you also have 2 options:
A) edit Sales Analysis on a record by record basis and delete the duplicates manually. Do this only if you have relatively few to remove, or
B) export the data that have duplicates, archive that same range of data, edit the export file in Excel to remove the duplicates, and re-import the fixed file. You will have to create a transfer template to control the export/import format.
If you have to archive data, you must create an Extraction Rule for the date range, customer range, etc that you want to cover all duplicate records. You should use this same extraction rule for both the archive and the export, if you have to go that route.
Hope this helps.
Lastly, the built-in data integrity checker is only available with our Adagio products or our Windows-interface products. Sales Analysis and other programs that run under the System Manager must be checked with either DataCare or the WSM Integrity Checker.
