We backup up on ZIP100 disks. Just installed 8.1A upgrade. Can't backup? Says "cannot update an existing spanned set??"
Help! What does this mean?

In the Adagio 81A releases, we added functionality to the backup function to accomodate the WebSafe application. In making changes to the backup function, we see that backing up to a removable drive indeed incorrectly gives the error message you have reported.

This has been passed along to development in order to make a fix. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

For now and until we release a fix, you'll have to backup to a different location and then move the file to your ZIP disk.

We have a fix for this situation - download an update backup file from here . This ZIP file contains a program file ssiqback.dll which belongs in the \softrak\system directory, replacing the existing file. To be safe, remove the existing ssiqback.dll file to a different folder, then unzip the contents of the ZIP file to replace it.
