Hi All,

In our bills of materials, we would like to start putting things like labour, so it can be tracked. There of course isn't really any 'stock' of labour.

If I make a part number for labour, put it in a BOM, and make it a non-stock item, will Adagio still track how many units of it get processed?

Thanks!

Hi, Acrylon,

Sorry but Non-stock items cannot be used in this way as they use UserDefined Costing which is not permitted in BOMs.

OK - I'll admit that I first read this topic as "Non-stick items" ;).

Why not make labour a stock item and receive a whole bunch of them - or just let the inventory level go negative?

Further to Andrew's suggestion,

-- Make a category in IC for Labour "ZZZ"
-- Make the Stock Nunber "ZZLABOUR"

Then you can easily exclude this "dummy" item from reports by selecting the ending part of the range.
