If you are using a much older version of Adagio Payables, there is a problem if you select the 'Verify before importing' checkbox. This has since been addressed. If you do not have this option selected for importing, the process will still check for correct fields and records, but will do so one record at a time (as opposed to checkng the entire import file prior to importing).

New in Adagio Payables version 6.8B (recently released), you have the option to 'remember report settings'; this is set in the Company Profile. If you choose to select this, then most report options are remembered for the next time you print the report. The report settings are actually stored by Database (rather than by user).

So, if I select the export vendors, it creates a file and this same file can be used to import?

Well, that depends... If the export file contains the current balance of the vendor, then you cannot import this field back in. If the export file contains only vendor number, name and address, then this file could be re-imported.

To answer the second part of your question, Adagio 6.8A does not have the ability of saving the settings you select for the reports. This was newly introduced in version 6.8B.

This isn't in Ledger 6.8B yet (it will be for the next release) and is currently available in Payables and Order Entry.
