When I click on the DB button with Add (actually any option) as the option and I pick the MS Access Database file (.accdb), it gives me an error "Failed to connect to MDBDirect.".

Do I need to add a parameter on the GridView shortcut to be able to use MDBDirect?

I have GridView 9.2A (140829), MS Access 2013 32-bit.

Usually you need to define a DSN to the access database. Have you done that?

Yes, I've define one dsn specifically for AO80 tables but I was exporting records from AR92 tables which was the problem.
