Hi there,

I currently use csv imports for my month end journal entries and would like to use a similar format for importing our annual budget. I'm unsure where to start - could you steer me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Steve Scott

Steve,

First, export a file with Acct, Dept, Description and all 12 period's budgets.

Edit the file in Excel to create the new budgets.

When you are done, delete the description column and import the file.

(You could also export actuals instead of budgets if you want to use those figures as the starting point for next year's budgets.)

Hi Ralph,

Actually, you don't have to delete the description column. In the import template, just choose a "Filler" entry to skip the column.

Steve:

And if I could add 1 small suggestion to Ralph's note:

Make a copy of your GL files using the Adagio Backup feature before importing. Just in case!
